Step-by-Step Crown Braids Hair Tutorial by celebrity hairstylist Aviva Jansen Perea

The great thing about this look is that it can be done on freshly washed hair, blown-out hair, curly hair, dirty hair, etc. I am doing my look on 2nd day hair, so I start with a little dry shampoo, which will help absorb any excess oil, and also add a little grip to help keep the braids in place.
Then with one of my Min Pins I use the tip of the pin to make the center part from forehead to back of neck. You can use a mirror to check the back to make sure the line is straight.
Then gather each side into a ponytail right behind the ear at cheekbone level and secure the base with an elastic in the same color as your hair.  Braid the pony all the way down to the tip and secure with a tiny elastic.
Take one braid and wrap it up over your head, sort of where you place a headband (1 inch back from your hairline).  Take your color matched Min Pin and wiggle it in the braid (around temple area) push it through and then flip it in the opposite direction of where you inserted the pin and push it through.
Take the other braid and wrap it around the other braid and secure it with the other Min Pin covering the first elastic and voila!
You have a super timeless and romantic look that you can dress up or down. Our Min Pins are made from super strong stainless steel so they are strong enough to hold the heaviest of hair, and coated in incredibly soft plant based nylon so they won’t damage your hair either.
